How to disable Windows and Windows programs sounds
The sounds in Microsoft Windows and the sound in many of the Microsoft Windows programs such as Internet Explorer, MSN, Instant Windows Messenger, NetMeeting, etc. is all controlled through the sound properties in Control Panel. To adjust these settings follow the below steps.
Click Start, Settings, and Control Panel.
